C&K Podcast Feature Interview: Moriah Axtell

Introducing Moriah Axtell, our C&K featured interviewee.

We’re excited to share her COURAGEOUS & KIND story with you!

Moriah Axtell is a wife and mother of three who has an incredible story of faith and redemption. She and her husband live in Missouri after many moves and several years of service with the Marine Corps.

Moriah talks about a rebuilding and a renewal season of life for her family and marriage. She recalls when God gave her the strength to stay and bravely fight for her marriage when the world gave her permission to run.

She said that she wanted nothing more than for God to “fix” her husband and the Lord said to her, “Moriah, I’m starting with you, first.” So God began tending to her heart, habits, and home first. The Lord gave her a faith to believe in what felt like the impossible.

As the Lord began working on her heart, her husband began to notice that something was different about her. She contributes her to success to really leaning into the power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ by trusting in the promises of God’s Word.

Throughout the interview, Moriah gives great practical advice about establishing boundaries to protect our marriages, ways to be intentional about weekly in-home date nights, and ways to promote transparent communication.

She also talks about ordering our priorities: God first, then our marriage above other relationships, and then our kids and extended family.

God > Husband > Kids & Family

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 is her favorite Bible verse because she had to have faith in the unseen and believe God for something that seemed so impossible. She knows that God can do impossible things and is living in that blessing every day.
